S1 indicates a pump station service is required. This is set from factory to alert at 12 months after initial installation. The S1 can be muted for 7 days by pressing 'Reset'.
If the AlertMaxx2 is on software <(less than)0.7, PPS will need to attend to update the AlertMaxx2 unit with the latest software.
If the AlertMaxx2 is on software >(greater than)0.6, the S1 can be muted for 7 days by pressing the 'Reset' button. PPS will reset the S1 on the service visit (if booked with us), or the S1 can be 'Reset' by your service provider following the guidance below.
You can find the software release from the white serial number sticker found on the front of the unit (see below). The last two digits before the .HEX indicate the serial number (example 06.HEX - 0.6)
To reset the service indicator to the previous set amount of months (shown in U3), press and hold ‘Func’ until U2 is displayed, then release. Press ‘Func’ again for 1 second, the unit will beep and show OK on the display. The service reminder has now been reset.
To change the service interval to a new value, press and hold ‘Func’ until U3 is displayed, then release. Press and hold ‘Func’, the display will now scroll through from 00 to 24. Release ‘Func’ on your chosen monthly interval (i.e. 06) - this value is shown in months. Press and hold ‘Func’ to confirm your chosen interval. Now, press and hold ‘Func’ until U2 is displayed, then release. Press ‘Func’ again for 1 second, the unit will beep and show OK on the display. The service reminder has now been set to your chosen interval.

Hello. Even though the service indicator was set to 12 months, the S1 indication came on again after only 7 months, does this mean there's an issue with the pump or could it be a fault with the AlertMaxx2 unit?
thanks.
Hi Guy, the S1 will show 12 months from the date the unit is first turned on. It indicates a pump station service is due. Please contact PPS on 0330 9000 999 to discuss this in further detail. Thanks.
