An E1 error code indicates there is a potential problem with the high level alarm cable.
The most common cause of an E1 is the float cable being extended to over 20m (overall length). This issue also occurs when there is lots of 'noise' on the cable, caused by other cables in the cable duct and interfering with the LOW and HIGH positions, sending false signals to the AlertMaxx2.
There are a few solutions to this error.
- Shorten the float cable to below 20m (overall length).
- Reduce the number of cables running through the cable duct.
- Use a screened cable to reduce interference.
